Highlights: Toulouse 3 – 2 Liverpool

The Reds endured a tough night, running out 3-2 losers in Toulouse after a late equaliser was controversially ruled out for handball.

A number of players looked off the pace, most notably Kostas Tsimikas and Wataru Endo, as Toulouse raced to a 2-0 lead. The opening goal for the home side came after Tsimikas was caught in possession during what should have been a simple transition out of defence.

Liverpool pulled one back following an own goal from Cristian Casseres Jr, but it took just two minutes for the two-goal lead to be restored when Frank Magri scored a third for the French side.

Diogo Jota scored in the 89th minute to ensure the game went to the wire, and Jarrell Quansah thought he had rescued a point when he poked the ball home deep into injury time. The goal was ruled out for a handball by Alexis Mac Allister though, with the decision leaving many fans fuming. Not only was the handball offence itself debatable but there was a very strong case for several passages of play having taken place following it.

Maybe not one to relive, but we all want to take another look at the handball decision. Watch the highlights below.
