After eight years at Anfield Roberto Firmino is finally departing Liverpool, with the club confirming that the forward would not be renewing his contract at the beginning of March.
Signed by Brendan Rodgers, the Brazilian only played briefly under the manager that brought him in before changes at the top saw Jurgen Klopp arrive at the club. It was under the German that Firmino began to blossom into the Liverpool legend he leaves the club as, making the false 9 role his own and combining to devastating effect with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
Even in more recent seasons, when the 31-year-old saw less minutes on the pitch, Firmino has proved an integral part of the squad, scoring a number of crucial goals in particular this season during a late run of form that saw the Reds claw back European qualification following a shaky start to the campaign.
