Reds Considering Musiala Move
Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Bayern Munich’s highly talented 20-year-old midfielder, Jamal Musiala.
The Germany international has already earned 24 senior caps for his country and is in contention for this year’s Golden Boy award, competing alongside the likes of Jude Bellingham and Rasmus Hojlund.
Musiala played a pivotal role in Bayern’s recent successes, contributing with 16 goals and 16 assists across all competitions last season, but has faced challenges in securing playing time during the current campaign.
Hampered by a hamstring injury at the start of the season, Musiala has only been handed two starts in the Bundesliga, with three additional appearances off the bench.
The player’s contract runs until 2026 and he reportedly held initial talks over a possible extension, but they have now been put on hold. Rumours of discontent have put Europe’s top clubs on standby, and SportBild reports that Liverpool are among the suitors.
The Reds would face a battle for the midfielder’s signature, with Real Madrid reportedly keen on pairing Musiala with Jude Bellingham at the Santiago Bernabeu. The youngster could be encouraged however by Ryan Gravenberch’s successful start to life at Anfield after also finding himself frozen out of the picture at Bayern.
Musiala is no stranger to England having spent time at the academies of Southampton and Chelsea before joining Bayern in 2019. Having represented England at youth levels, the versatile midfielder eventually chose to play for Germany, his country of birth.
