Liverpool not interested in Ramsey deal
Liverpool are not interested in signing Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal.
That is the claim being made in an article by ESPN writer Rob Dawson, their Manchester United correspondent, who says that the Wales international is not a target for the Reds.
Ramsey is out of contract at The Emirates at the end of the campaign and some reports have claimed that Liverpool are keen to bring him to Anfield – possibly even in a cut price January deal.
But Dawson is reporting that “sources” have informed ESPN that the Reds are not monitoring his situation and will not be making a move to try and beat the competition to a transfer.
He writes that Manchester United and Chelsea are both keeping a close eye on the twenty-seven year old and could offer him a contract next Summer should no new deal be agreed with the Gunners.
Italian champions Juventus are also keen on snapping up the midfielder and they are able to make a pre-contract offer to him in the new year as he can negotiate with foreign clubs in the last six months of his current deal.
Ramsey is said to be open to the prospect of leaving Arsenal to join a Premier League rival, but it looks unlikely to be Liverpool if there is truth in this report.
