Fekir says he has moved on from failed transfer

France international Nabil Fekir has said that he is over the failed move to join Liverpool.

The Lyon captain came agoinisngly close to completing a switch to Anfield in June, but the transfer was called off at the last minute after concerns were raised in his medical.

And the twenty-five year old, who was initially upset about the deal being cancelled, has said that he is focusing on the season ahead with the Ligue 1 club as they prepare for the Champions League.

“What happened with Liverpool is straight out of my head, I turned the page.” he is quoted.

“We must not stop at this, we must move forward.

“There are things that must be accepted.” he added.

When asked if he was planning to extend his contract with Lyon, which has less than two years left to run, he refused to commit to anything.

“My future? We have not discussed an extension yet, we will see what happens.” he responded.

Many Liverpool supporters hope that the deal will be resurrected in January.
