Tite admits Brazil are copying Liverpool
Brazil coach Tite has admitted that he has copied Liverpool’s tactics.
The South American said that he has seen that Reds boss uses certain methods to get the best out of forward Roberto Firmino and he is now copying him to do the same.
“Our three attacking players play in the same position but make different movements.” he said.
“Firmino stops being a number nine and drops back into midfield – just like he does at Liverpool, with Salah and Mane.
“We took that idea from Liverpool and applied it to us.” he finished.
Firmino was a substitute for his country throughout the World Cup in Russia with many Liverpool fans questioning why he wasn’t given the chance to start and show what he can do.
And Tite has admitted that he didn’t use the former Hoffenheim man enough in the tournament after affording him just eighty-two minutes of action.
“Roberto Firmino and Douglas Costa deserve more chances.” he said last week.
Liverpool fans would agree.
