Two Potential Summer Targets For Klopp

Liverpool are well on their way to their maiden Premier League title and look course to do it in style; not only by winning at a canter but also hopefully breaking a few records on the way – notably having an unbeaten season and obtaining the highest points tally in a season.

However Klopp is already looking forward to see who he can bring in the summer to bolster his squad for the up-coming season. Here are just a couple of potential signings the German could make.

First we have the lively RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner who is 23 years old with a £50.5m release clause in the summer. A young hungry forward who would thrive in the Premier League and offer competition Mane, Salah and Firmino.

Both Mane and Salah are expected to miss up to a month in the middle of next season due to the African Cup of Nations, and it seems likely that the Reds will be looking to bolster their attacking options in preparation. Of the names linked Werner seems the most realistic, and the player has recently expressed his admiration both for the club and Klopp. Sports betting fans seem to think the move is likely, with a flurry of bets being placed on the forward plying his trade at Anfield next season.

Secondly we have a player from closer to home – Todd Cantwell. With his impressive appearances for the Canaries this season and them looking more than likely to go down, and the £30m price tag for the 21 year old midfielder could be seen as a bargain in the Anfield chief’s eyes.

One thing that is for sure whoever Klopp decides to bring in the summer they’ll have to work hard and impress to make the starting XI. Online betting sites are predicting a busy summer for the Reds, and it appears unlike the past two windows that signings will be made to challenge for a place in the first team.
