Liverpool look set to challenge Manchester Utd for the prized signature of the highly touted Porto star James Rodriguez
The highly touted winger has been subjected of sustained interest from Man Utd, with the former Premier League champions reported to be lining up a £20 million bid for the 20 year old.
It would appear now that they will have a fight on their hands if they are to land Rodriguez’s signature with Liverpool rumored to be lining up their own bid for the winger, which is to be believed to be around the £23 million mark.
Rodriguez has already openly admitted that he is interested in a move to the Premier League. His agent, Silvio Sandri has also suggested a move is on the cards.
Speaking to newspaper O Jogo he said ‘There is nothing new to report. This is a matter to be discussed with Porto. Within a couple of weeks I plan to go to Portugal to speak with the leaders of Porto. I cannot talk more about this as it is so complex.’
