living in Nottingham i have gone to a few elite league ice hockey games with the Nottingham Panthers and through this got interested in NHL hockey, my favourite player is Ovechkin and my favourite team is the one he plays for the Washington Capitals, I watch or record the NHL on ESPNlate night most weekends so are there any other watchers of any level of Ice Hockey on this site!

We have a few Americans so you never know. Personally find the game difficult to watch, especially on TV because it moves so fast. I do like Field Hockey though.
All around the fields, of Anfield road,
Where once we watched the King Kenny play and could he play!
Stevie Heighway on the wing, we had dreams and songs to sing,
Of the Glory round the fields of Anfield Road.

I pretty much watch it once every four years in the Olympics when USA plays, about it really. I have a great fascination and enjoy the sport's culture, but it is a very hard game to watch on TV.

Hockey is really cool, best to watch it on an HDTV and on HD so you can see the puck. I find the regular season boring sometime but the Stanley Cup playoffs is so intense and a complete joy to watch. That is really the only time i pay attention to hockey is during the playoffs.

Stanley Cup playoffs begin on the 14th April, the only thing going on till then is will the New York Rangers get in the playoffs or the Philadelphia Flyers, they meet up with a weekend double header, everything else is sorted so bring it on!

If you guys are fans of hockey, you must watch the movie 'Slapshot' if you have not seen it already, with Paul Newman, one of the best sports movies ever.

Quality game and a game ive allways wanted to play, i used to play Roller Hockey tho.
I used to follow the Manchester Storm in the elite league then they went out of business
so now being welsh i follow the devils.
As for the NHL when i was a kid i loved the mighty duck films so natualy i allways followed the Anaheim Ducks but i do like the mapple leafs too as my mate got me into them as he is from Toronto.

i'm from toronto so let's just say i've seen my share of hockey matches. I like it enough, but not as much as some of the typical Canadian puckheads (as we call them). As someone mentioned earlier, playoff hockey games are pretty amazing and provide some of the most intense action in all sport. Hopefully i'll get to cheer for some of that next season if the Maple Leafs can finally qualify.
