I have a pair of (not so lucky) red bills that I try to wear every time we play. When we lose, I usually go home pissed, throw them in the bin, from where the missus rescues them and puts them in the wash, ready for the next game. What a woman.

Wasn't sure what board to put this on but settled on this one.

Anybody else have any match day rituals or superstitions?

I have to get dressed in the right order on match day.

Socks – Right foot first
Bills – Left leg in first
Shirt / Top – Right arm first. (Always button shirt from bottom to top)

Stop to comb hair at this point

Keks – Left leg first (Dress to the right, if you know what I mean) (no jeans or tracky bottoms)
Shoes – Right foot first (always polished shoes, never trainers or a nice pair of fluffy slippers if I’m staying in to watch it)

This is my dressing routine for home games. For away games I swap sides (i.e. left sock first) except for dressing to the right which stays the same for reasons of comfort and buttoning up shirt from bottom to top as that is the way the team is heading, hopefully.

I have been known to come home from work on a match night and re-dress or change in case I didn’t do it in the right order in the morning.

Fuckin Weirdo, I hear you say and you’d be right. I’ve been doing this for years. I think the only time I haven’t is when I used to do the occasional overnighter for an away game and I was usually too drunk to think about it. I still do it even though I no longer go to the games. Quite sad really.

Also, I avoid any item of clothing that is the same colour of that of the opposing teams’ shirts (including shoes, fortunately not too many play in black or brown)

I appreciate this is quite extreme and I probably need counselling but I bet there are a few of you who do or have done something similar over the years (Except Oli who is not superstitious and does not believe in luck)

Yep, I have no superstitions whatsoever.

Nothing I do will impact the game at all - unless I am there, in which case I try to be as vocal as possible in getting behind the team.

Only one I have for Liverpool is that I wear an away shirt if we're away and home if we're home.

Got a f**king countless amount of superstitions when I play myself though.

I've been superstitious since the age of seven after I walked under a ladder and the window cleaner dropped his bucket on me head. I went pail, my eyes glazed over and I was in a lot of pane. And this was before the birth of the claim culture where you could win dough for such accidents.

Merge it then. You're allowed to moderate as well.

I didn't really think to look on the LFC discussion board as it's a bit trivial and meaningless but hey whatever you say.

Haha, didn't think to merge it. Been one of those days where the simplest solutions escape my mind.
