I can't decide what team i want to see for this game. I obviously want us to progress but with the Arsenal game only three days later, do we need to rest one or two?.
I expect to see a line up something like:

Jones
Wisdom, Carragher Skrtel, Robinson
Shelvey, Allen, Henderson,
Suso, Sturridge, Borini

I'd hope to see one or two of the academy players make the bench (Coady and McLaughlin would be my picks) and get on the pitch if things are going well, but I won't hold my breath.

We should be able to win this tie whatever side we put out and I'll be amazed if we lose. But we all know that stranger things have happened

Think Carra, Allen, Shelvey, Suso and Borini are all likely to start.
Hopefully Robbo and Coates too, unless he's been loaned by then.

Interesting to see if Jones starts or Gulacsi, considering Reina is likely to be out for a few games.

I'd like to see Gulacsi get the start. He's looked good any time I've watched him for the ressies, plus I feel bad that he was brought back from a loan spell where he was getting gametime and now isn't playing as a result.

Rather we got another low league team, provided we beat Oldham.

Give a few young players a run out again and allow us to keep focusing on the league.

Yep.

All around the fields, of Anfield road,
Where once we watched the King Kenny play and could he play!
Stevie Heighway on the wing, we had dreams and songs to sing,
Of the Glory round the fields of Anfield Road.

Reina is missing it through injury. Jones will be playing then, as expected.

Oldham lie just four points above the League One drop zone having played two games more than the sides below them and have taken a solitary point from their last eight league matches.

At home, things are terrible: Dickov’s side have won just three home games all season, losing eight (including six of the last seven).

Suarez has to play !! ??   against a Div 1 team..... which is 19 th of 24 teams with 1 or to games more than below. i can't believe it

Especially when you know we face Arsenal in 72 hours

can we ask for BR's head if he gets injured ?

I'd of rested Suarez especially with borini back. I hope borini gets a couple of goals today.
