I won't comment on the game right now as I'm too gutted.
What I will comment on is the thousands of Kopites streaming out of the ground well before the final whistle. I never thought I'd live to see this happen. An utter disgrace.
This after a morgue-like atmosphere for most of the evening.
Not too many OOTs to blame to explain this happening on a Monday night...

well not the best performance form us again. and this is an important home game but we blew it again by dropping another 2 precious points.
well i think the fans are disappointed by the team's performance but they should have stayed put and give the team their support till the final minute and help the team

ok... ive had a little bit of time to try and get over the game
Right now i would still like to stab cahill
Im very dissapointed in our performance but more so with the stupid tackle that benny did which led to the goal. you do not slide in that area ever.
Skrtel's marking was also terrible during the free kick, infact i think he had a bad game all round, i think he has it in his head or that someone has told him that he has to start getting further foward. a few times he ran the ball up and passed it which was fine, however, there were times when he ran it up straight into a everton player and paniced resulting in him either losing the ball or passing back without looking.
Great goal from Gerrard
Also happy with the return of torres and alonso and good to see arbeloa on the bench at least other then that not many more positives

I'm still as angry as anyone. And despite being an Aussie, I want Cahill to get pulverised by an 18 wheeler.
However, I've calmed down a bit now...... well, had calmed down - until Hewitt started playing at the AO!! I can stand 5 setters!!
We can't drop any more points at Anfield this season. One more game of dropped points at home, and it's season over.

We lost the title wen we drew 0-0 with stoke at anfield, that was a shocking performance that night could not even break their defence.
Man Utd will always find a goal in these sorts of games because they have a winning mentality and have players 2 win.
This is where i believe benitez would of wanted barry, clinical matchwinners, they know how 2 win.
Why pay so much for players when we buy them for being matchwinners when they dont even look like being a matchwinner.
Very dissapointing result, gotta give credit 2 everton they had a great plan for this game and praise goes out 2 moyes a very underrated manager, but in saying that, 2 win a title u must hold on 2 these games and i tell u now if man utd were in the same position they would have grinded out a win.
All honesty i dont see us winning the title this season, i believe we have already lost it. I'm hoping at least we come 2nd so we automatically qualify for the champions league instead of wasting 2 extra games a season. By coming 2nd it's a success for Liverpool because we are progressing, albeit slowly.
COME ON U REDMEN YNWA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Liverpool FC Stats
Points 47
Drawn games 8
Losses 1
Convert 4Nr drawn game to losses = - 4 points which reduces the point tally to 43 points
Convert the remaining 4 drawn games to wins = +8 points which increases the points tally to (43+8)=51 points
The drawn games are killing us more than if we just won and lost games. We are 3 or 4 games shy of last season's tally already.
If you watched the match yesterday, you will observe that a lot of their attack came from the right flank, Carragher should have played in his traditional role, What was Arbeloa doing on the bench? He has done so well this season in that position. That position requires speed to fall back quickly. Carra was getting caught out there too often.

Hyypia and Skrtel didn't play terrificly either did they.
Had Agger not been injured, I think we would have won.
All around the fields, of Anfield road,
Where once we watched the King Kenny play and could he play!
Stevie Heighway on the wing, we had dreams and songs to sing,
Of the Glory round the fields of Anfield Road.

Bloody hell, we're all upset about last night but are we not still level at the top of the league on points? Obviously the three points would have been a much better result but we can't be throwing the towel in because we didn't get them. We are still in a much better position than we have been any time in recent years, so let's not concede defeat just yet.

We are behind where we were at this point last year, yet we are in a better position.
With all the respect in the world to this fantastic club, that shows how s**t Chelsea have been recently, and how poorly Man Utd started the season.

Or maybe it means that we are starting to see the effects of the new TV deal that came in a couple of seasons ago, the one that has left the smaller clubs with much more spending power than they ever had previously. Is it just coincidence that smaller clubs aren't just picking points up against us but also against Utd, Chelsea & Arsenal, or is it an indication that this league is now a lot more competitive than it has been in recent years?

I think its about time this league be came more competitive this can only be good for the fans. There has been too many times the big 4 are always on the tv now it seems to be shared around more fairly.
Everton always seem to dig their heels in more against us as we are the closest rivals they havent got a recognised striker yet still managed to socre.
Keane's confidence has been shot to pieces as Rafa keeps taking him off and sometimes not even playing him, even when he bangs in goals he still gets hauled off.
Torres hasn't really played this season as he has been injured but now he is back and is eased in he will start to get the goals only if we get the ball to him and support him.
Babel has not really been given the chance as a forward which he is and Kuyt who is a forward drops too deep and is now virtually converted to be a winger.
People say that Keane and Torres cant play together we dont have to play a 4-4-2 when they both start we can still play this 4-5-1
----------Alonso-----------Mascherano-------------
Gerrard-------------------------------------Riera-----
-----------------keane--------------------------------
----------------------------Torres---------------------
Rather than have Gerrard just behind Torres why not keane he does drop back and i think he is more dangerous coming from slightly deeper .
We can ill afford to drop more points but i have said that the title will be virtually decided when we go to old trafford.

i agree with u mate,i dont know why rafa always take him off.he must have 90 minutes on the pitch to maintain his confident..and where's agger???
we all know rafa rotation policies but why kuyt always get selected??are u guys thinks lucas, yossi n kuyt have the winning mentality???i dont thinks so..i have to say that when i watch man u game they played with passion, myby they just got lucky.. i still believe we can win the title if we keep winning and always consistent..rafa have to make a proper team selection,he should not keep on form player in the bench..it really a waste for us...

i think we need to start questioning raffas use of subs cause 1 its prodicable as obama being the next president and also his use of players,1 change would of won us that game last night but he dont have the balls to do it,keane or kuyt off for mascha and push gerrard to the right,,i do belive with that sub we would of gone on and scored again.....to bring lucas and yossi on in a derby when your 1-0 is stupid and proved so with yossis woefull atempt at a tackle.....
if iam honest iam that gutted iam not gonna blame anyone cause its pointless just gonna hope they get it on sunday and out the fa cup
It's a sad day for LFC. To lose a player to another English club is awful, but to another club with such a proud and successful history is devastating. I can honestly say that there will be no malice from me. Thank you

We need matchwinners in these types of games, we have gerrard but he can't do it all on his own and that's where gareth barry would of come in perfect, Benitez wanted barry he was his number 1 priority but villa woudl'nt budge with the price so i believe benitez is wishing he had barry already and is still not happy that he's not at LFC, and i dont blame him at all!
