Liverpool v Everton
20:00 Mon 19th January
Barclays Premier League

The game against Everton is a very important one. By the time we play them this coming Monday Man Utd could very well be top of the league so its an absolute win game for us.

Its time to put the Stoke game behind us and grab all 3 points as we really cant afford anything less. We cant afford to start stumbling or hit a bad patch at this point in season as we all know the second half of the season is where Utd come into their own. Including Mondays game we have some big matches ahead, Wigan midweek wont be an easy game and then theres Everton again in the FA Cup and lets not forget Real Madrid are just on the horizon.

The formation Rafa should be looking to use, in my opinion is something like the following (thats if everyone's fit of course):
4-4-2
----------------------Reina---------------------

Arbeloa---Carragher--Agger/Skrtel---Aurelio

Kuyt-------Gerrard--------Alonso-------Riera

---------------Torres---Keane-------------

ALONSO HANDS REDS DERBY BOOST
Jimmy Rice 15 January 2009
Xabi Alonso today declared himself fit to face Everton in the first of next week's Merseyside derbies on Monday.
The 27-year-old midfielder needed seven stitches in his instep following Liverpool's FA Cup victory over Preston 12 days ago.

The injury kept him out of last weekend's goalless draw at Stoke City because his foot hadn't heeled sufficiently to wear football boots.

Now back in full training, Alonso is hopeful of a return to action against David Moyes' men.

He said: "I am back training. I had the stitches taken out on Monday.

"I'm still a little bit sore in that area. Right now I am able to play with the inside of my foot but my instep will be okay for Monday."

So hes defo back for it.

would kill for a win on monday and would really like to see this team though probably unlikely:
---------------Reina----------------
Carra---Hyypia---Agger---Fabio
---------------Alonso--------------
kuyt--------Gerrard---------Riera
-------Torres---------keane-------

We should use a strong line up and destroy Everton the team needs the boost of beating Everton in both these games, If they can look convincing it could have a good psychological effect on Man U and Chelski at this stage.

I like the line ups, Either would suit me

Dani's lineup is Fowler-Willing the lineup we should be seeing.

----------------------Reina---------------------

Arbeloa---Carragher--Agger/Skrtel---Aurelio

Kuyt-------Gerrard--------Alonso-------Riera

---------------Torres---Keane-------------

All around the fields, of Anfield road,
Where once we watched the King Kenny play and could he play!
Stevie Heighway on the wing, we had dreams and songs to sing,
Of the Glory round the fields of Anfield Road.

yeah me too,i think we should start play 4-4-2 back.there no need to be too defensive cause all our back 4 is in excellent form..we just need more firepower in front of goal..hope we can win this derby..2-1

Very true.  Let's just hope Bolton can hold off the Mancs or maybe even pull off a win.  And of course the Reds need to pickup 3 on Monday!!!!

Definitely mate, back to the lineup that served us so well at the start of the season

We've gotta win cos it will ruin my Birthday otherwise, 2-0 to the Reds I reckon

Agree with all teams people have mentioned.

Going for a 1-0 win to us, Torres to strike the only goal in the first half.

Apart from the ever-absent Degen we have a full squad to choose from again now don't we? No excuses now, especially with Utd being in the form they are we need a win at all costs.

Bring Back Crouch!

Am I the only one that doesn't see what Keane has done to deserve a start in this must win match?

Personally I would go with:

------------------Reina-------------------

Arbeloa--Carra--Skrtel--Aurelio

-----------Alonso--Masch------------

Kuyt----------Gerrard-----------Riera

-----------------Torres--------------------

That formation did well enough for us last season

Yeah i'd have masch in as well 2 keep a close check on cahill if he plays that attacking midfielders role with anichebe ahead of him.

COME ON U REDMEN! LETS TOP ENGLAND AGAIN!

Form is temporary, class is permanent...
