FA Cup Sixth Round
4pm Sunday 18th March 2012
Anfield
ITV1

We go into a massive FA Cup off the back of hammering Everton 3-0 thanks to a Steven Gerrard. It has improved the whole feeling and atmosphere around the club after a disappointing run of three league defeats in a row.

We have already knocked Stoke out of one cup this season and we owe them another defeat after they claimed a very fortunate 1-0 win at their place and 0-0 draw at Anfield in the league earlier this season.

The referee will have to keep a close eye on their defenders as they proved rather dirty in their treatment of Andy Carroll in the 0-0 draw - and should have conceded at least one penalty for their shirt pulling and pushing in the box.

I would start this team:

Reina
Kelly
Carragher
Skrtel
Enrique
Spearing
Gerrard
Bellamy
Kuyt
Carroll
Suarez

How about you lot?

The 18th March had me panicing then my anniversarry is on the Monday the 19th n no way the Mrs would of let me watch ha.
I think same again line up wise unless Agger returns. I'd b tempted to go with Kelly even if Johnson is fit because he played really well. Let's Hope we dnt play 5 at the back like when we played them in the league at anfield.

I'd Start the same team which played against Everton. Except swap Hendo for Kuyt. Bringing Bellars on at 60-70 minutes.

It is not good enough at all!

At least our trusty moderation team were there to save the day.

We could have had people missing the game!

Exactly what I'd do.

We've looked good in cup games all season, hopefully we can keep that going in this game.

As per usual with Stoke it's likely to be quite a physical game, so we need our toughest players out on the pitch. I'd agree with Jarhead & stick Bellamy in for Henderson, other than that an unchanged side from the one that beat the bitters so convincingly.

Before Monday I'd have been a bit nervous about this game, Stoke are one of those teams that aren't that good but are capable of turning over anyone on their day. Now though I'm brimming with confidence and think we can batter them.

A place in the semis looks on the cards

I'd bring Coates back in for this one. Apart from the one mistake he made in the Carling Cup tie that lead to their goal, he's looked incredibly confident and able against Stoke. The kid needs to start playing more games.

Get Henderson into a more central position or get him on the bench. I don't know why he's keeps getting shafted to the right, but it isn't working for him. He's looked far more talented in the middle.

I agree that Henderson looks ten times better in the middle, but I'm not too sure he compliments Gerrard in that position. I think we get the best out of Stevie when he plays alongside Lucas (when fit) or Spearing, he looks his best when he's got a holding player alongside him.

In that case, Henderson would have to be preferred to Andy Carroll if he wanted to play there. Suarez up top with Gerrard behind, and Henderson with Spearing/Lucas. Of course, I'm not a fan of rotation, and Carroll and Henderson both have great potential -- I'm a fan of both players. It's a pickle.

Bit worrying that Charlie Adam doesn't figure in my thoughts though.
