Liverpool should sign Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud this Summer.
That’s the view of former Red and Wales international forward Dean Saunders, who reckons the Frenchman could be the key to breaking through stubborn defences.
“Giroud could play for Liverpool, he’d be a good signing.” Saunders is quoted by The Express.
“Against the lesser teams, when they struggle to break them down.
“I just think sometimes you could do with someone in the box like Giroud.
“You need a striker that, when you get stuck, you can just put the ball in there and he turns it into a goal and Giroud does that.” he finished.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger looks likely to let the thirty year old make an exit from the north London club.
But it is highly unlikely that Giroud is of interest to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and no move is going to be made.
West Ham United, Everton, Marseille and AC Milan have all been linked with offers to sign him.
