Liverpool are set to win the race to sign Fulham defender Ryan Sessegnon.
That’s according to Football.London, who are reporting that the Reds have beaten off competition from Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham to bring the youngster to Anfield.
The England under-19 international is already an established regular in the promotion chasing Championship club’s side under manager Slavisa Jokanovic.
And that’s despite Sessegnon still being just sixteen years of age.
Liverpool are said to be confident that he will move to the club at the end of the season after pushing hard to complete a deal for some time now.
Manager Jurgen Klopp has been looking for a young left-back to develop and came close to bringing Ben Chilwell in from Leicester City last Summer before the England under-21 defender signed a new deal.
But it looks like he may well be landing his target this time around.
