Liverpool are in talks with the agent of Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko.
That’s according to French radio Station RMC, who are reporting that Chelsea, Paris Saint Germain and Manchester United have also made contact with representatives of the twenty-two year old.
Chelsea are said to be readying an offer worth between £35m and £40m for the impressive youngster and have been made favourites to lure him away from the Ligue 1 leaders.
United are also said to have made Bakayoko a key target ahead of the Summer transfer market opening and that has left Liverpool and Monaco’s domestic rivals PSG as slight outsiders.
Jurgen Klopp has made RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita his priority for the position, but Bakayoko is said to be another option in case Bayern Munich win the race for the Guinea international.
Monaco are likely to be in for a long Summer of trying to retain the young stars who have helped them towards the top of the French league and the semi finals of the Champions League this season.
Liverpool have already made a £65m offer for teenager sensation Kylian Mbappe, according to Marca.
