Rodriguez appears to be surplus to Real’s requirements

Real Madrid are keen to sell James Rodriguez to Manchester United.

That’s according to a report by Diario Gol who are claiming that the Spanish giants are looking to help facilitate a deal to sign United goalkeeper David de Gea this Summer.

De Gea has previously come close to swapping Old Trafford for the Bernabeu, but the transfer didn’t make it over the line and he has remained a United player.

But Real are finally looking to snap up the ex-Atletico Madrid stopper with club president Florentino Perez looking to keep United sweet by offering them priority on Rodriguez.

The Colombian international also shares an agent, Jorge Mendes, with United boss Jose Mourinho and that factor only makes a deal look even more likely for the twenty-five year old.

As well as Liverpool, there is reported interest from Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Juventus in the former Monaco man – but Real are prepared to ignore all of this to move him on to United.

The La Liga leaders are reportedly eager to do a deal with Chelsea involving Alvaro Morata and Eden Hazard.
