Coutinho played a key role in securing fourth place in the Premier League

Paris Saint Germain are set to test Liverpool’s resolve to keep Philippe Coutinho.

That’s according to Le10 Sport, who are reporting that the Brazil international will be the subject of a £70m offer from the French club.

Coutinho signed a new contract to stay at Anfield last season, but that hasn’t stopped the speculation that he will move on this Summer.

Along with PSG, Spanish giants Barcelona have been regularly linked with a bid for the twenty-four year old and his compatriot Neymar has also been publicly encouraging Coutinho to leave Merseyside for the Camp Nou.

The Reds are not looking to sell him as manager Jurgen Klopp looks to deploy him in a deeper midfield role in order to have more influence on play.

But with offers for Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe looking set to fail, PSG are keen to bring in a star name this Summer after missing out on the Ligue 1 title.

Monaco pipped them to it and also got further in the Champions League, so PSG are keen to improve their squad in order to return to the top.
