Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has spoken about his future.
The England international has been heavily linked with a Summer switch to Liverpool to join Jurgen Klopp’s squad for the 2017/18 season.
He has just a season left on his contract with the Gunners and there are no signs that he will be putting pen to paper on an extension any time soon.
And the former Southampton player has spoken about his future – without giving too much away on what he plans to do with it.
“My personal ambitions are always to play as well as I can and be as professional as I can for Arsenal and obviously stay in and around the England squad as well.” he told Complex.
“That’s no easy feat, we’ve got a lot of good, young players coming through at the moment and competition for places is high, and with the World Cup coming up next year that’ll be in the back of everyone’s mind.
“For me as an attacker it’s scoring and creating goals and helping the team to win, so I’ll just be focused on doing that as well as I can for my club.” he finished.
Reports have claimed that Klopp will spend as much as £35m on Oxlade-Chamberlain, while other outlets have cited a maximum bid of £20m.
