Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane was not close to joining Tottenham Hotspur in the Summer.
That’s according to Bjorn Bezemer – who is a representative of the Senegal international.
“Sadio had five offers in the summer and financially all of them were good.” he is quoted by The Guardian.
“We wanted the right team, with the right coach at the right moment to arrive at the next level.
“That is the reason Sadio went to Anfield.” he finished.
Reports over the weekend had claimed that Mane was close to making a move from Southampton to White Hart Lane before moving to Liverpool instead.
It has been claimed that Mane could not agree terms with the north London club and wanted more money than the Premier League club were offering.
But Bezemer has dismissed talk that the twenty-four year old decided where to move based on the financial package on offer.
