Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has told Liverpool not to bother making a bid for Christian Pulisic.
Jurgen Klopp will reportedly make a second attempt to raid his old club for the teenager in January.
But his former colleague has advised Liverpool that it isn’t worth bothering because the American is going nowhere.
“It’s not worth the effort for Liverpool.” Zorc told Bild.
Pulisic has become a regular in Thomas Tuchel’s Dortmund side this season despite being just eighteen years of age.
Klopp reportedly made an £11m bid for the youngster in the Summer, but that was immediately dismissed by the Bundesliga club.
With injury to Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane set to head to the African Nations Cup in the new year, Klopp will need more options in attack.
