Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has spoken about midfielder Adam Lallana ahead of Friday’s game with Chelsea.
Klopp was speaking amid speculation that the England international will be offered the chance to put pen to paper on an extension to his contract with the club.
Lallana has made a strong start to the season and has started to change the opinions of those who didn’t think he scored or assisted enough goals for the team.
And Klopp has spoken favourably about the player he also calls a neighbour.
“He is a nice guy, even as a neighbour.” he said.
“I have other neighbours, but they are not good footballers.
“He is a very smart guy and has really settled in at Liverpool. After his start, now he has 100% settled in. He is a nice guy.
“I knew him from Southampton and I was looking forward to working with him.
“He is good, he can play different positions and he is mentally strong.
“He is a smart player. He is very important to the team both as a player and a person.” he finished.
