Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard will be taking part in the legends match against Real Madrid.
The Spanish giants will be sending a team of former stars to Anfield to take on the Reds on Saturday 25th March in what promises to be a game not to be missed.
And Gerrard will be part of the action after returning to the club in a coaching role at youth level recently.
“I’m really looking forward to playing in the LFC Foundation Legends Charity match – Anfield will always hold a special place in my heart.” he said.
“It’s a real honour to be sharing the pitch with such a great team of legends whilst raising money for the club’s official charity.” he added.
Other former Reds set to be involved includes: Gary McAllister, Luis Garcia, Jamie Carragher, Patrik Berger, Salif Diao, Jerzy Dudek, Stephane Henchoz, Jason McAteer, Vladimir Smicer, David Thompson, Bjorn Tore Kvarme, Sander Westerveld, Dietmar Hamann, John Aldridge, John Arne Riise, Phil Babb, Daniel Agger and Michael Owen.
All proceeds from the match will go to the LFC Foundation, the club’s official charity and ticket details can be found here.
