Sky Sports are reporting that Liverpool Football Club have denied the claims made earlier today that Raheem Sterling no longer wants to play for Brendan Rodgers.
They claim that sources close to the club have told them that Sterling informed Rodgers that money was not the issue, but that the manager was.
Sterling attended preseason training on Tuesday and met briefly with Rodgers following the session.
It is at this meeting that it has been claimed that he informed Rodgers that he no longer wishes to play for him and that he wants to be excluded from the tour of Asia and Australia.
The squad fly out to Bangkok on Sunday and Sterling wants to remain in England in the hope that Manchester City make a third bid for him.
The Premiership club have had two offers rejected as Liverpool hold out for £50m for the twenty year old.
