i no from reading posts on here and reading stuff around the net 1 of the things our fans hate alot is the constant use of players out of position,my pet hate is the formation raffa uses and the players used out of position in said formation so here it is,what do you think is our strongest formation that will use our squads best players in there best positions....

i think i would use 2 formations here they are

4-4-2
--------Renia--------
--Johnston--Carra--Agger--Insua--
--Yossi--Gerrard--Mascha--Reira--
----Torres----Kuyt-----

another 4-4-2
--------Renia--------
--Carra--Agger--Skirtle--Fabio--
--Gerrard--Lucas--Mascha--Insua--
----Torres----Ngog----

useing the current squad for me 4-4-2 is ideal for us,you can use aquaman or lucas or gerrard in the middle, you can even if you want kinda tweak it in games, play with mascha in front the back 4 stevie infront of him and kuyt just behind the striker,i thing we lack is good attacking wingers, players who are gonna create so playing with torres up on his own with 2 holding midfielders and the person having to support torres is having to leave him to go pick up the balls is just stupid,so thats were kuyt will come in,imo he at this moment in time is the ideal partner for torres, kuyt dosnt have pace so he just drops off picks up balls and draw defenders out to him, creating space for torres to use to its fullest, for me the 4-2-3-1 formation raffa pursists with is just not good enough with the squad we have, real madrid with all the millions and galaticos stuggle at times with that formation, not all the time lol............

oh the other formation lol is from my old championship manager days 5-3-2 lol i used to use it all the time.......again probly need a couple of players to make it work but here is how i would use it with our players today.....

-----------------Renia------------
-----------Carra---Agger---Skirtle-----------
--Johnston-----------------------Insua--
-----------------Mascha-------------
----------Gerrard------Aquaman----
-----------Torres----Ngog--------

for this 1 id use attacking full backs, this is more the formation raffa uses but id use 3 center halfs 1 holding midfielder, and 2 strikers,id either use kuyt for more hard working games and ngog when i wanna attack...not 1 i use but 1 i like to use in game on my pc lol.......

imo we should play a 4-4-2, with gerrard out wide given the license to drift in like he used to.

Reina
Johnson, Carra, Agger, Insua
Gerrard, Masch, Lucas/Aquilani, Riera
Kuyt, Torres

it annoys me ALOT when riera is fit and doesnt play, weve only lost something like 3 games in all that hes started.
he is the only player that gives us width, with kuyt, yossi and babel drifting in, also gerrard would do the same.

Reina
Johnson Carra Agger Insua
Mash
Benayoun Lucas Gerrard Maxi
Torres

I love Kuyt, but on current form, he don't deserve to be starting. However, knowing Kuyt like we do, he'd work his ass off to find form and regain a starting birth. I wouldn't mind seeing him just behind Torres tbh.

Well I think our strongest formation is this one.... (some will disagree I'm sure...)

          Reina

    JC      MS     DA
            JM
GJ     LL        AA    YB

         SG    FT

Kuyt can fill in in various positions....

yea, not to sure about that one TPO, my main problem is the left side, i know wed have dagger there and masch ahead of him but i think tossi would get caught out a bit

dont ming the look of that chrissy tree formation though digger, as long as johnson and insua got up enough to give us some width...

Yossi is usually good at keeping the ball tho...

For me Riera is not consistant enough and Babel does not try hard enough, Yossi is better than both those at both of those....

im not sure, i think riera is very under rated.
he gives us alot of width which opens up defence and puts a brilliant cross in.

we lack both of those things without him in the team.

but he also give the ball away alot, and takes on shots when he should pass...

not to mention he is slow, and hardly ever goes by people...
he does get a good cross in, but those usually come from a pass he can run onto...

With everyone fully fit and flying mine would be.
                            Pepe R.
   Johnson      Agger       Carra         Aurelio
   Maxi        Gerrard      Masch        Riera
                   Kuyt
                   Torres
Yossi and Babel would make great impact subs.

Yossi and Babel would make great impact subs.

that was my thinking as well, seems a little harsh to leave yossi out of the starting 11 but i think he looks great when hes a sub.

well after that performance tonight i would go as far as to say that is the strongest formation and possibly line up we can put out,and it work, everyone fitted so well, with the exception of babel and thats not because of how he played its just your playing a right foot only player as an attacking left winger, but with maxi on the right then it would have to be reira or yossi
