It's gonna be very hard to get 4th place now but I still think its manageable.... really need to beat Arsenal and Chelsea at home.

It's all set up for us to be able to do it, it's delivering that expectation that scares me. Arsenal games haven't been strolls in the park in recent years and newcastle just got tiote and cabaye back to first team duties. Oh and there's all the sub par teams that seem to enjoy taking points off us with ease

We need to avoid falling behind while we are still in the cup competitions. Games in hand are all well and good, but we can't drop back and get sucked in to the group of Sunderland, Everton etc.

Obviously we can't control that, we just need to hope Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle stutter.

Win the Carling Cup on Sunday and the squad will be buzzing. Arsenal coming up at Anfield is a real chance to set a marker for the rest of the season - for us and them. Hopefully Spurs will batter them on Sunday and keep their spirits low. They will also have an eye on AC Milan as well, no matter how futile that situation is for them.

Chelsea v Bolton and Newcastle v Wolves today.

I would be surprised if our two rivals didn't take the points today.

Chelsea are on a bad run of form though and Wolves may benefit from having a new manager in charge. Hopefully at least one of them will spring a surprise and take something and do us a favour.

Arsenal have the toughest game of the weekend though with Spurs at home tomorrow. I really fancy Tottenham to take something off a poor Gunners side.

Will be interesting, has been a lot of upsets this season so I'm optimistic about Chelsea or Newcastle dropping points.

If Bolton or Wolves can score first in their games, it could really set them up for at least a point.

I fancy Bolton more than Wolves to get something today.

Gutierrez and Cissé have put Newcastle 2-0 up against Wolves.

That looks like game over already.

Newcastle will go six points ahead of us and into fourth place, unless Chelsea win their game.

Wolves have got it back to 2-2!!

Chelsea are winning 2-0 though

Sunderland's resurgence appears to be dropping off as they are losing 3-0 at West Brom.

Lampard has made it 3-0

Arsenal v Spurs has kicked off.

Arsenal
13 Szczesny
03 Sagna
05 Vermaelen
06 Koscielny
28 Gibbs
07 Rosicky
08 Arteta
14 Walcott
17 Song
30 Benayoun
10 Van Persie

Substitutes
21 Fabianski
25 Jenkinson
49 Miquel
15 Oxlade-Chamberlain
09 Park Chu-Young
27 Gervinho
29 Chamakh

Tottenham Hotspur
24 Friedel
04 Kaboul
26 King
28 Walker
32 Assou-Ekotto
03 Bale
08 Parker
14 Modric
21 Kranjcar
10 Adebayor
15 Saha

Substitutes
23 Cudicini
20 Dawson
07 Lennon
11 Van der Vaart
25 Rose
30 Sandro
18 Defoe

Saha makes it 1-0 to Spurs!

Dive by Gibbs, looking for a penalty. Correct decision

We have fallen seven points behind now, but we do have that home game against Everton in hand. We must beat Arsenal next weekend to stay in the hunt though.

We are ten points behind Arsenal now. We do have a game in hand, but there is no way our form this season has been good enough to suggest that we can overturn that defecit.

I think Wenger will get them into the top four and hold off those calling for his head.

We will end up sixth or seventh. Probably seventh.

At least Chelsea lost today.

I don't think Sunderland will beat Newcastle though.

Don't think we will get fourth now. Arsenal have won four on the bounce now n we don't look like getting a run going. I think we can finish above Chelsea and Newcastle n think that should b the aim now. Best just to forget about champs league hopefully do well in the fa cup.
