Mike Marsh is confident USA U17 starlet Marc Pelosi has a bright future at Liverpool.

The U18 coach gave the Academy's new recruit a run out during last weekend's 1-1 draw with Crewe and admits he has been highly impressed by his impact during training sessions.

Marsh told Liverpoolfc.tv: "He's a good player. He's been training with us for a while. He's in between squads really, training with the reserves one week and then the U18s the next.

"We've been waiting for his paperwork to come through and now it has everyone is delighted. He managed 45 minutes for us against Crewe last weekend and looked a really good player. He was also on the bench for the reserves at Blackburn.

"He's a left-footed player who can play anywhere on the left-hand side and he's also captain of his country at youth level.

Poor goal to concede that 4th one

Good side though Lisbon, people saying them and barca are the best at this level.. I can see why

yeah there 4th was poor ... these Lisbon lads knock the ball round with ease .. they make our young stars look very average

i watched the game .. Coates scored , got booked and gave away a pen his first touch was awful at times .. Spearing was very good his 1st goal was a great strike ..  Ecclestone came on for Morgan with 30 mins to go and scored twice and both were nice goals

Sterling gave the Sunderland defence trouble from start to finish , he should of scored but we'll forgive him this time

the one downer was Morgan , so far he seems to be struggling at this level ,but  it is early days

Ressies won 1-0 against wolves yesterday with young suso grabbing the winner.
More strange though was the young lad pulling the strings in the middle of the midfield for the whole game. John Flanagan. Did ok as well
