riera, agger and aurelio are all better players then finnan though imo, so their injuries are always going to be tolerated more.
im not saying finnan was bad at all, i just think theyre better.
and i also would have liked to keep crouch, but as i said he wanted first team football and although he was left on the bench (and thats just one game) he wanted more football and he wasnt going to get that here.

1st - alonso might have decided that himself, barry plays CM, so does Alonso
2nd - alonso may be using it as an excuse to go, and to be fair if he said i went for money and to be with my family id still respect him.
