If you click the link on the top menu you will see we now have a new prediction league installed. Unlike the old software this is fully integrated with the forum meaning you won't need to register an account and you can also select to have PM reminders when new fixtures have been added.

I have ironed out most of the bugs but there is still one remaining that I'm aware of, you can't view other users stats at the moment, only your own. If anyone notices any issues other than this please get in touch with me.

Anyone got any thoughts on how we should do the scoring? If not we'll stick to the same as last season, one point for a correct result, three for the correct score.

Way too many draws last season.

But it's probably the best way to go.

All around the fields, of Anfield road,
Where once we watched the King Kenny play and could he play!
Stevie Heighway on the wing, we had dreams and songs to sing,
Of the Glory round the fields of Anfield Road.

Smoke me a kipper i'll be back for breakfast!!!

Very true, and with this in mind I've made a change to the scoring for this season's competition. You will be able to score a maximum of three points for each game still, but instead you will get a point for the correct scores on each side plus an extra point for the correct result. For example, if you predicted a 2-0 win to us but we lost 3-2 you would still get one point for correctly predicting we would score 2 goals, if the game ended 2-1 to us you would get two points - one for the correct result & one for the correct home score.

Hopefully this should make things more interesting and prevent a bunch of us all ending on the same points like we did last season

So the fact we pick the correct result won't get us any points?

Interesting.. but I like it!

You get one point for a correct result regardless of whether you get the score correct or not, and then one point apiece for the correct home & away scores. This means you will still get three points for a correct scoreline, but there will be more chances to score points for members that almost get the result right but not quite.
