Ryan Babel's agent has claimed that "five or six" clubs are interested in his client, and that Liverpool are seriously considering selling the player.
Birmingham are reported to have offered in the region of £9million for the 23-year-old, and although agent Winne Haatrecht claims his client is still determined to prove himself at Liverpool, he admitted they are also considering other options.
"We know that Liverpool are seriously thinking about the offer from Birmingham but we shall only consider a transfer if the clubs have an agreement," Haatrecht told De Telegraaf.
"Then we will see how Birmingham are building their squad, what the prospects are for the club and Ryan, and perhaps, after that an interview with the manager.
"I have sent details of all the interested clubs to Liverpool. There are about five or six of them.
"In general, Ryan still wants to succeed at Liverpool but, if the club concludes that it is better he leaves, we will have to think about the next chapter."
Babel has failed to establish himself as a first-team regular since his £11million switch from Ajax in 2007, and has made just two league appearances so far this season.
