Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti has said his side will face a tougher test against Atalanta than when they take on Liverpool.
The Italian will take his team to face the Bergamo-based club on Monday evening in their next domestic outing with the Champions League decider at Anfield looming on the horizon.
But the former Chelsea boss doesn’t seem to think that his players will have too much trouble in getting through the clash on 11th December.
“We must go to Anfield with courage and play our game.” he said.
“Now let’s think about the Serie A game at Atalanta on Monday, which will be more difficult than Liverpool.” he added.
His side need to avoid defeat, by certain scorelines, in the final group stage clash at Anfield in a couple of weeks’ time and are currently in the position of not losing a game so far in the competition.
Liverpool, meanwhile, have won both home games against Paris Saint Germain and Red Star Belgrade so far – but have been beaten in all three trips away from Anfield.
There is a lot riding on this game and both managers will be well aware of what’s at stake.
