Egypt coach Javier Aguirre has warned Liverpool over the future of Mohamed Salah.
The twenty-six year old has been a revelation at Anfield since arriving from Italian club AS Roma back in the Summer of 2017 for what was a modest fee given how well he has done since.
But he is yet to win any silverware, despite managing to reach last season’s Champions League final, and Aguirre reckons he will leave for pastures new if he doesn’t start picking up medals with Liverpool.
“Salah may leave Liverpool in a season or two if he does not win trophies.” he told ONSport.
“Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp knows that very well and that’s why they are working hard to win trophies.” he added.
Liverpool are well in the title race this season thanks to an unbeaten start to the Premier League campaign, but the chances of reaching a second European Cup final in two seasons are hanging in the balance.
Salah is likely to be part of the side that takes on Paris Saint Germain next week in what will be a crucial game in the Champions League group phase this season.
