Borussia Dortmund star Christian Pulisic has said that he would savour the chance of playing for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
The United States international has resurfaced as a potential transfer target for the Reds boss next year recently and that has led to the youngster being asked about the prospect of linking up with his old manager again.
And he won’t have disappointed those who would like to see him turn down reported interest from Premier League rivals Chelsea in order to finally make the move to Merseyside.
“He was there when I first moved to the club.” he is quoted.
“I was obviously playing with the youth teams at Dortmund, but he was the one who gave me my first professional training session, just to give me a taste of it.
“He always accepted me and he was very kind to me, so I will always be thankful for that. I know he’s a great guy, and it’s nice to see him doing so well for Liverpool.” he added.
And when asked if he would like to chance to play senior football under the German’s management, the American did not mince his words – after admitting recently that it is a “dream” of his to play in England.
“Yes, of course.” he responded.
“I personally didn’t get to know him too well but I’ve heard stories from some of my team-mates who did and they loved playing for him.
“So absolutely.” he finished.
Liverpool supporters would be only too pleased to see the pair reunited at Anfield in 2019.
