Liverpool midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri has been linked with a loan exit from the club.
It is being claimed that Turkish club Galatasaray believe they can lure the Switzerland international away from Anfield for the second half of the campaign when the transfer marker opens in January.
That is what is being reported by TransferMarketWeb – who are claiming that the twenty-seven year old is “disappointed” with his situation at the club following his Summer arrival.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp sanctioned a deal worth around £13.5m to bring Shaqiri to Anfield after his relegation with Stoke City last season – in which he was by far their best player.
Shaqiri may well have struggled to hold down a regular spot in the side so far this season, but it remains highly unlikely that he has decided that it would make sense for him to go and play elsewhere after Christmas.
It is also certain that Klopp is not remotely interested in the prospect of allowing one of his Summer acquisitions to make an early exit from the club so soon after putting pen to paper.
This one seems like wild speculation and there is practically no chance that Shaqiri will be going anywhere.
