Liverpool fans have taken to social media to demand that the club dispense with Lazar Markovic.
The Serbian international is still in the squad at Anfield, which may surprise some supporters, after a deadline day move to rejoin Anderlecht fell through at the last minute.
And the former Benfica winger did his reputation with fans no good whatsoever by liking a post on Twitter which appeared to be celebrating Red Star Belgrade’s surprise 2-0 win over the Reds in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

Markovic is out of contract at the end of the season and has not even made it on to the bench so far during the campaign – and is not expected to be given any sort of chance by manager Jurgen Klopp.
Things like this are unlikely to do his prospects any good either as it would appear that he is joining in the celebrations of people in his homeland following the damaging loss.
That's for certain. Marković has always been a weirdo, even when he was here. He played for Partizan, my favorite club. He has lazy habits and isn't motivated at all. Should have never been bought at Liverpool.

We should've took Markovic to Serbia, his home nation. And left him there.

There were those who didn’t seem too concerned by his actions…
Imagine being triggered by Lazar Markovic liking a tweet… #LFC

Why does anyone care what Lazar Markovic does/says?/shares or likes? Yes he's on #lfc books but he ain't a Liverpool player, he's shite and won't ever play for us and will be shipped out next summer thankfully
