Reds look set to miss out on Rabiot deal

Liverpool look set to miss out on a deal to sign Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint Germain.

That’s because the France international is close to putting paper on a new contract with the Ligue 1 champions, according to a report by Canal+ journalist Olivier Tallaron.

The twenty-three year old has been regularly linked with a free transfer move to Anfield over the past few months after entering the final year of his deal at the Parc des Princes.

But it now looks like he could be on course to reject the interest from Liverpool, and several other clubs, in order to stay with PSG beyond the end of the current campaign.

Barcelona, Juventus and AC Milan have all been touted as potential suitors for Rabiot, along with the Reds, as January approaches – which is when he would be able to sign a precontract with non-French clubs.

It looks like new PSG manager Thomas Tuchel, who took over from Arsenal boss Unai Emery in the Summer, has persuaded the midfielder that he will get enough game time to make it worth his while to stay on.

The article claims he will sign a deal that would see him stay at PSG for at least three more years.
