Besiktas are plotting a January bid to sign Divock Origi from Liverpool.
That’s the claim being made in an article by Fanatik, who are reporting that the Turkish club are set to take on rivals Galatasaray in the race to land the Belgian forward.
The report claims that the SuperLig side will table a loan offer which includes the option to make the deal permanent next Summer when the transfer window opens in January.
Origi has been frozen out so far during the campaign since returning from his loan spell at German club VfL Wolfsburg last season, though he was an unused substitute at the weekend.
The former Lille man didn’t manage to get off the bench in the 1-0 Premier League victory, however, and it looks increasingly likely that he will leave Anfield next year.
But a loan deal may not be acceptable to the club after a few other sides made their interest in taking Origi on temporary terms known before the season kicked off.
Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund wanted to do a deal to take him back to Germany on loan for the season, but Liverpool rejected the interest as they sought a permanent deal.
