Paris Saint Germain manager Thomas Tuchel has claimed that his side deserved more from their visit to Anfield.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss saw his side defeated 3-2 after Roberto Firmino scored a late winner for Liverpool after coming off the bench during the second half.
Jurgen Klopp’s side had the better of the possession with 52% of the ball and had 17 shots to just 9 by the Ligue 1 champions – but Tuchel thinks “the result is not logical or correct”.
“Maybe the score didn’t tell the story of the game.” he said.
“We had a chance with Draxler to win the game.
“The result is not logical or correct.
“We played with a lot of bravery and mental strength.
“Never at any point did we lose our confidence. We played with bravery and strength.
“But this is Anfield. This is what Liverpool do and when they press you it is difficult.” he finished.
Perhaps he is confusing the game with the time his Dortmund side lost 4-3 at Anfield in the Europa League back in the 2015/16 season – but even then Liverpool had 21 shots to his side’s 12.
