Tottenham Hotspur will be without Hugo Lloris, and possibly Dele Alli too, this weekend.
Liverpool head to London to take on Mauricio Pochettino’s side at Wembley in the lunchtime kick-off on Saturday and could be handed a boost if the duo are both sidelined for the hosts.
France international goalkeeper Lloris is certain to miss the game, and could be out for ‘several weeks’ according to some reports, and could be joined by England midfielder Alli.
Lloris picked up the thigh problem in Spurs’ 3-0 victory at Old Trafford against Manchester a couple of weeks ago and is likely to be replaced by Dutchman Michel Vorm for the games he misses.
Alli, meanwhile, was injured during training with England during the international break this week and is likely to sit out the game against Jurgen Klopp’s side as a precaution.
The news that Spurs, who last their most recent Premier League game at Watford, could be without two of their key players could make getting a result from the match a little easier for the Reds.
Klopp has a fully fit squad to choose from aside from midfield duo Adam Lallana and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who are joined on the sidelines by Dejan Lovren.
