Liverpool midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri is hoping to get some game time in the coming weeks.
The squad face a schedule of seven games in twenty-three games and the Switzerland international is hoping that the fixture congestion will see him afforded more time on the pitch.
“I’m looking forward to it.” he told Sky Sports.
“Especially the next few weeks we have a lot of games—good games, difficult games.
“We’ll try to keep up our good performances and I hope we can win a lot of games.” he added.
Shaqiri went on to say that the competition in the squad is a positive thing for the players and that manager Jurgen Klopp has got plenty of depth to call upon.
“We train hard every day and you can see that there is a lot of quality in our team.” he continued.
“There’s a lot of hard work and competition, and that’s good for all the players.” he finished.
Shaqiri is yet to start a game so far since arriving from relegated Stoke City in the Summer and has made just two appearances off the bench in the opening four Premier League fixtures.
