Liverpool striker Danny Ings is set to join Southampton on loan.
The Premier League club have managed to agree a deal to sign the twenty-six year old and have lodged paperwork which will give them until 7pm this evening to complete the move.
Ings is reported to be on his way to the south coast to complete a medical and the formalities of the move and should be presented as a Saint later this evening, provided there are no late hitches.
Paul Joyce, Northern Football Correspondent for The Times, has tweeted to confirm that the move looks likely to go ahead before the season kicks off at the weekend.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was keen to keep the former Burnley man at Anfield, but reluctantly accepted that he needs to move on to a new challenge in order to breathe life into his flagging career.
Time is tight for them to get the deal done.
