Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is not seeking to sign Pablo Dybala.
The Juventus and Argentina forward has been heavily linked with a switch to Anfield over the past week or so as the Italians seek to complete the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.
But Echo journalist James Pearce has moved to quash the rumours by confirming that he has heard absolutely nothing to suggest that Klopp is looking to do a deal.
“The Reds have been linked with a move for the Argentina international with reports in Italy suggesting they were ready to table a club record offer of around £80million.” he said.
“However, the ECHO understands that Dybala is not on Jurgen Klopp’s list of targets as he looks to bolster his squad ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.” he added.
Many believe that Klopp will make a return bid to sign Nabil Fekir from Lyon following France’s exit, or indeed victory, at the World Cup in Russia.
A deal was nearly done for the playmaker before he jetted off to join his international team-mates, but it was called off at the last minute over concerns about a prior knee injury.
