Liverpool are interested in signing Sweden international Robin Olsen.
That is the claim being made in a report by The Mirror, who claim that the FC Copenhagen goalkeeper has been identified as a potential target for the club this Summer.
The twenty-eight year old made some impressive stops for his country in their World Cup group game against Germany on Saturday, but could not prevent Toni Kroos from scoring a late winner for the holders.
Olsen is relatively untested at the highest levels of club football, with his career so far taking in the heights of Malmo, PAOK and current club Copenhagen.
So any bid to bring him to Anfield is likely to see him added as cover rather than as an instant contender to take over from Loris Karius as first-choice.
He is unlikely to command a huge transfer fee, but the price the Danish club will want to part with him is no doubt going to increase after his heroics for his country in Russia.
Liverpool supporters will be underwhelmed by this link and will hope that it is mere paper talk during a quiet spell for the transfer market as the World Cup continues.
