Liverpool are unlikely to make a bid to sign AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker this Summer.
That’s the claim being made by Sky Sports, who are reporting that a source has informed them that the Italian club have priced the Brazil international out of a move.
The Serie A side are said to have put a hefty fee of £80m on the shoulders of the twenty-five year old shot-stopper.
Sky Sports are also reporting that Real Madrid are his most likely destination if he makes a move before the start of the new season.
The Champions League winners remain keen on deals to sign either Manchester United’s Spain international David De Gea or Chelsea number one Thibaut Courtois.
Chelsea would, in turn, make a bid to sign Alisson should they lose the Belgian international to the La Liga giants this Summer.
The report also claims that Liverpool first made contact with Roma over a deal for Alisson back in January, but it looks like it will now lead to nothing with plans for a bid scrapped due to the high asking price.
Alisson played in both legs of the Champions League semi-final, which Liverpool won 7-6 against his Roma side.
