Liverpool are closing in on a deal to sign Nabil Fekir from Lyon.
That’s according to a report by the Echo, in which they claim that both parties are looking to get the transfer completed.
French newspaper L’Equipe are also reporting that the two clubs have agreed a fee for the transfer to happen.
Fekir has made it clear to the French club that he sees his future at Anfield and is determined to make the switch.
The club reportedly have medical staff on standby to undertake an examination of the France international on Friday, such is the growing confidence that a deal could be completed before the end of the week.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas had poured cold water on a deal being done, but he is believed to be looking to get the situation resolved as he understands Fekir might not increase his value at the World Cup.
The Ligue 1 side would like to receive further bids to open an auction for the playmaker, but Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and Chelsea are yet to make an offer.
It now looks like Liverpool are in the final stages of completing a deal.
