Firmino reveals Alisson interest in Reds move

Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has revealed that compatriot Alisson Becker has asked him about the club.

The Roma and Brazil goalkeeper has been heavily linked with a switch to Anfield this Summer after some superb performances between the posts for the Serie A club.

But the Italians are desperate to avoid losing another star player to the Reds for a knockdown fee after seeing Egypt international Mohamed Salah leave for just £35m last year before going on to become a world-class performer at Anfield.

But, despite this, Firmino is hopeful that his international colleague will make the move to Merseyside this Summer.

“Yes, he asked me about Liverpool and I hope he can come here, but I know he has other proposals.” he said.

“From time to time I will give him a pinch to come to Liverpool and help us, but it’s with his agents.

“It wouldn’t be bad if he came to Liverpool.” he finished.

Alisson has a reported price tag of around £80m and is also of interest to Champions League winners Real Madrid and Premier League outfit Chelsea, with both linked to bids for his services.

So Liverpool could have a fight on to try and beat off the competition to get a deal done.
