Liverpool are considering making a move to bring Pepe Reina back to the club this Summer.
The Spaniard is out of contract at Napoli at the end of the season and The Mirror are reporting that the Spaniard could be in line to make a surprise return to the club.
It had been widely believed that he would be switching to AC Milan when the campaign ends following reports in the media that claimed he had passed a medical with the Serie A side.
But that appeared to be wide of the mark and his future remains uncertain as Napoli come towards the end of the season which will pose many ‘what could have been’ memories at the San Paolo.
Reina left Anfield back in 2013, when he was replaced by Belgium international Simon Mignolet, for a season on loan with Napoli before joining Bayern Munich.
He struggled to make an impact at the Allianz Arena and so made a permanent return to Napoli and has been first choice for them ever since.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is said to be considering a move to bring him back to Anfield in order to provide some experienced cover for current number one Loris Karius.
It is likely to be a move that will go down well with fans if he decides to go through with it.
