Barcelona open to Dembele move

Barcelona are prepared to allow Ousmane Dembele make an exit this Summer.

That’s the claim being made in a report by Spanish website El Gol Digital, who are stating that the La Liga champions are considering letting the Frenchman make an exit this Summer.

Dembele only moved to the Camp Nou from German club Borussia Dortmund last Summer, in a deal worth a reported £130m, but has struggled to make the expected impact.

Club president Josep Maria Bartomeu has publicly said that Barcelona are not looking to sell Dembele this Summer and paid big money for him due to his potential.

“The option of selling him is not on the table.” he said.

“We are finishing the season and then there will be meetings.

“He’s an investment for the future.

“He is very young and we expect a lot from him.” he finished.

But they could be prepared to let him either leave on loan in order to get more first-team football in a less pressured environment or they could sell him in order to raise the funds needed to sign Antoine Griezmann from rivals Atletico Madrid.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is believed to be very keen on bringing Dembele to Anfield after losing out to former club Dortmund back in the Summer of 2016 when they signed him from Rennes.
