Liverpool assistant manager Zeljko Buvac has been made one of the favourites to succeed Arsene Wenger at Arsenal this Summer.
The Serbian has become a surprise contender following the announcement that he will not be involved in duties at Anfield for the remainder of the campaign.
Sky Bet have put odds as low as 5/2 that he will leave Liverpool to take on his first managerial position this Summer and that puts him right up there with the favourites for the role.
Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri is priced at 4/1 to leave Serie A for the Premier League by taking over at The Emirates – but there is a lot of speculation that he will only be interested in doing so if Arsenal win the Europa League and qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Out of work Spaniard Luis Enrique is still being heavily touted as a potential successor for the Frenchman and he is priced at 6/1 to head to London this Summer.
Former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is another top pick in the running, with odds of 7/1 that the Celtic boss will head south to take the reigns at the Gunners.
Arsenal’s head of recruitment, Sven Mislintat, has previously worked with Buvac at Borussia Dortmund when Jurgen Klopp was in charge of the Bundesliga club.
There are conflicting claims being made around why Buvac has left his position at Anfield, albeit temporarily according to the club, with some saying it’s because he’s been lined up by Arsenal and others citing family reasons.

Željko #Buvac has apparently been spending a lot of time in Banja Luka, BiH lately. His visits are related to his father's illness, per sources. Rumours about being #Wenger successor may not be accurate. I'm digging though.. stay tuned. #Liverpool #Arsenal #LFC #AFC

When Zeljko Buvac left, I thought it may have been because of some personal tragedy.
To be fair, yeah. Arsenal.
